VV Academy

CRPF Sub-Inspector (GD) is filled through the SSC examination for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP and SSB). It has two written papers, a physical test and a medical.

01 / Eligibility

  • Education: a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Final-year candidates can apply but must hold the degree on or before the closing date for applications.
  • Age: 20 to 25 years as on 01-08-2026, i.e. born between 02-08-2001 and 01-08-2006, for all posts except SI (Fire) in CISF. Upper age relaxation applies to reserved categories and ex-servicemen.

Physical standards (height and chest) are set in the notice and differ by post, category and region.

02 / Selection process

All the stages are mandatory. The PST and PET carry no marks and only qualify or eliminate. Ex-servicemen do not have to take the PET.

03 / Exam pattern

Paper-I: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour, with a 15-minute timer for each part. Each wrong answer loses 0.25 mark.

Through the SSC Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs examination. CRPF is one of the forces you can choose in the application.

Is there a physical test?

Yes. There is a Physical Standard Test and a Physical Endurance Test, and both are qualifying only.
